An interstellar comet has been found to have a unique chemistry, with some reports suggesting it may be a relic from a solar system older than our own. The comet, referred to as 3I/ATLAS, is said to carry water and have isotope ratios of elements such as carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen that are unlike those found in comets within our solar system. The comet's chemistry is described as a distinct "fingerprint" from another solar system, with some outlets speculating it could be billions of years old.
