The addition of lurbinectedin to maintenance therapy appears to improve duration of maintenance in extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Some reports indicate that combining lurbinectedin with atezolizumab improves survival outcomes in this patient group. However, the effectiveness of immunotherapy combinations in limited-stage small cell lung cancer is less clear, with at least one report suggesting no improvement in survival.
