Research is being conducted on the factors associated with precancerous cervical lesions, particularly among women with HIV. Studies are examining the relationship between HIV status, the cervical microbiome, and the development of precancerous lesions, as well as the effectiveness of treatment for these lesions in women with HIV. The findings may help inform cervical cancer screening and prevention strategies for vulnerable populations, including women living with HIV.
