Fossils of a large dinosaur, referred to as the "hell heron", have been discovered in Niger, in the central Sahara. The dinosaur is described as having a giant head crest and is believed to have been a fish-eater that waded in shallow waters. The discovery is reported to be a new species of Spinosaurus, although some outlets also describe it as having a blade or sabre-like crest.
