Kaspersky has reported that malware is being spread through anime wallpapers on the Steam Workshop, potentially putting gamers' accounts at risk. The malware, which has been downloaded tens of thousands of times, may be used to hijack accounts and steal cryptocurrency. Multiple outlets have confirmed the presence of dozens of malicious wallpaper packages on the platform, which are being distributed via the Wallpaper Engine app.
