Comet 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object, is leaving the solar system. The comet's origins and age are being studied, with some reports suggesting it is older than the sun, and estimates of its age ranging widely, with some sources indicating it could be over 9 billion years old, or possibly as old as 10 to 12 billion years. Its chemistry has been found to be unlike anything previously seen in the solar system.
