An interstellar comet, referred to as 3I/ATLAS, is making close passes of earth, mars, and the sun. The timing of these passes is unclear, with some reports indicating it has already made its closest approach to earth, while others suggest it is still upcoming. Images of the comet have been captured, including rare views of it passing by mars.
