Inhaled treprostinil has shown improvement in outcomes for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in a phase 3 trial. The treatment, also known as Tyvaso, has reportedly improved forced vital capacity (FVC) in people with IPF. The positive trial results are expected to lead to a submission for FDA approval.
