Inhaled treprostinil has been found to improve lung function in people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in a phase 3 trial. The treatment, which was studied in the TETON-1 trial, showed significant improvement in forced vital capacity (FVC), a measure of lung function. The results of the trial may lead to a submission for FDA approval, although it is unclear if the TETON-1 and TETON-2 trials had the same outcome.
