Floods in southern China have caused over 900 snakes to escape from breeding farms in the Guangxi region. The escaped snakes, which include venomous species, are posing a threat to local villagers, with reports of bites and at least one death. The floods, possibly related to a typhoon, have also affected a zoo, releasing other animals such as alpacas and mini pigs, and potentially alligators, into the area.
