Research on the earth's crust and its composition is being conducted in various regions, including the Kumaon-Garhwal Himalaya, using different methods such as modelling and seismic data. Studies are also being done in other areas, including Northern Egypt, the Carpatho-Pannonian Region, Southern California, Africa, the Arabian/Nubian shield, the Southern Indian Shield, the Lau Basin, and Mexico City. The focus of these studies appears to be on understanding the structure and depth of the earth's crust, known as the Moho, and its implications for seismic activity.
