Researchers have developed new neural probes designed to improve intracortical recording performance and stability. The probes feature mechanically-adaptive and resveratrol-eluting properties, and may be used in conjunction with a closed-crown packaging system for stable long-term recording. Additionally, robust minimally-invasive microfabricated stainless steel neural interfaces are being explored for high-resolution recording.
