Research is being conducted on the role of neutrophil extracellular traps in various types of cancer, including colorectal cancer. The significance of these traps, as well as tumor-infiltrating granulocytes, is being explored in relation to cancer prognosis, chemotherapy response, and metastasis. Studies are also investigating the involvement of neutrophil extracellular traps in other diseases and types of cancer, suggesting a broader relevance beyond colorectal cancer.
