A single-cell transcriptomic atlas has been created to study the human inner ear balance organs, revealing increased regeneration in diseased areas. However, it is unclear if this atlas is part of a larger effort to map various human organs, as other atlases have been reported for different organs such as the liver, kidney, and lung. The focus of these atlases appears to be on understanding cellular heterogeneity and damage response in both healthy and diseased human tissues.
