The interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS has been imaged by the Gemini South Telescope, as well as the Gemini North telescope, revealing its appearance in new color images. The comet is displaying a broad coma and growing tail, and is also showing a green glow in some images. Its status is uncertain, with reports indicating it is both approaching earth and leaving the solar system.
