Research on the transcriptomic profiling of milk fat globules in cows with different β-casein genotypes is being conducted. However, it appears that the focus of the research may have shifted or is being explored in relation to other areas, including the study of lactation in various species such as rodents, humans, buffalo, and sheep. The use of techniques like transcriptomics, RNA sequencing, and CRISPR-CAS9 gene editing is being employed to examine the transcriptome of mammary glands and other tissues in these species.
