Cabinet approves ₹1.27 lakh crore for Semiconductor Mission 2.0
The Union Cabinet approved ₹1.27 lakh crore for the second edition of the India Semiconductor Mission, according to IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Unlike the first phase, Mission 2.0 will incentivise suppliers of raw materials used in chip manufacturing, widening support beyond fabrication units to strengthen the domestic semiconductor supply chain.
