RBI to issue polymer currency notes from beginning of next fiscal: Governor Sanjay Malhotra
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said the Reserve Bank plans to issue polymer currency notes from the beginning of the next fiscal. He noted the effort is still at a pilot stage, and the central bank will test how the polymer notes perform under Indian climate and infrastructure conditions before a wider rollout.
