Centre extends PM-Kisan for four more years

The Centre extended the PM-Kisan scheme for four more years, with an allocation of ₹3.15 lakh crore. Under the scheme, launched in February 2019, the government has transferred more than ₹4.47 lakh crore directly into farmers' bank accounts through 23 instalments. The extension continues direct income support to eligible farmer families across the country.
