SpaceX rocket piece set to crash into the Moon
A discarded SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket second stage is on course to crash into the Moon. The four-tonne object, which had launched a Firefly Aerospace lunar lander in January 2025, is expected to strike Einstein Crater on the Moon’s western limb at about 8,690 kph. SpaceX said the impact is unintentional and poses no danger.
