Centre extends PM-KISAN for four more years with ₹3.15 lakh crore
The Union Government has extended the PM-KISAN income-support scheme for four more years and allocated ₹3.15 lakh crore for it. Under the scheme, launched in February 2019, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has already been transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts across 23 instalments. The extension continues assured income support to eligible landholding farming families, deepening the Centre’s direct benefit transfer approach to agriculture.
