The Maharashtra government, under Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has disbursed ₹5,027 crore so far to about 6.2 lakh farmers under its farm loan waiver scheme. Eligible-beneficiary lists prepared by banks have been uploaded to a portal developed by MahaIT and also published at gram panchayat offices, cooperative societies and authorised bank branches, allowing farmers to avail the waiver online.
