India, Canada commit to complete trade deal by end of 2026
India and Canada reiterated their commitment to conclude a trade deal by the end of 2026. In a joint statement issued by the two finance ministers after the inaugural India-Canada Finance Ministers' Economic and Financial Dialogue in Toronto, India said it was ready to begin negotiations on a Bilateral Investment Treaty at the earliest.
