India’s GDP growth at 7.8% in Q1, slower than last quarter but quicker than last year
India's economy grew 7.8% in the first quarter (Q1) of the current financial year, official estimates show. The pace was quicker than the same quarter a year earlier though slower than the previous quarter. The expansion was led by the manufacturing sector along with services such as utilities, financial services, real estate, IT, and public administration and defence.
