GST Council meeting postponed to 7 October from 12 September
The GST Council meeting has been rescheduled to 7 October 2026 from the earlier date of 12 September. The preparatory meetings of government officers will be held ahead of it, on 5 October from 3 pm and on 6 October from 11 am. The rescheduling shifts a key indirect-tax decision-making session by nearly a month.
