Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said India has emerged as the world's largest producer and supplier of vaccines by volume. He noted that India's bio-economy reached USD 195.3 billion in 2025, growing about 18% annually, with 11,855 biotech start-ups. India supplies vaccines to over 100 countries and meets more than 65% of the WHO's routine immunisation needs. He was speaking at a CEPI event in New Delhi.
