Rupee edges up on RBI support, softer oil prices
The Indian rupee closed slightly stronger at 95.93 against the US dollar, from a previous close of 95.95, aided by reported RBI intervention and a retreat in oil prices to around $103 a barrel. The 10-year benchmark government bond yield eased to 7.04%, while the dollar index firmed to 100.17.
