Tamil Nadu launches State rooftop-solar subsidy scheme

Tamil Nadu's Energy Resources Minister launched a State solar subsidy scheme that adds to the Central rooftop-solar subsidy. Consumers who applied from August 5 are eligible for a combined Central-plus-State subsidy of ₹35,000 for a 1 kW system, ₹70,000 for 2 kW and ₹1,00,000 for 3 kW, promoting household rooftop-solar adoption across the State.
