Inaugural Index of Services Production launched
The government launched the inaugural Index of Services Production (ISP), a new official measure of India's services sector. In April 2026, 14 service sub-sectors recorded double-digit growth. The index tracks 19 sub-sectors that together account for about 60% of India's services output.
