The Union Cabinet approved ‘Samudra Manthan’, an offshore exploration scheme, with a total outlay of ₹84,084 crore. The Centre extended the PM-Kisan (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) scheme for four more years with an allocation of ₹3.15 lakh crore. Launched in February 2019, the scheme has already transferred more than ₹4.47 lakh crore directly into farmers’ bank accounts across 23 instalments.
